Cold Venus Revisited is a music project based in Prague that touches various musical genres, ranging from dark-noisy-psychedelia to shoegaze and post-punk. The band draws inspiration from a wide spectrum of art, primarily the punk scene of the '80s and '90s, including Cranes, Spacemen 3, Kino, and more. Additionally, they explore elements of psychedelia, post-punk, krautrock, garage, and contemporary guitar music.
Their current sound could be described as darkgaze. Their new album, available on Spanish Oráculo Records, is an attempt to channel the noisy textures of shoegaze bands like Cranes or Bowery Electric through the atmosphere of David Lynch or Jim Jarmusch's films.
In 2025, they stood out as the only Czech act at Prague Gothic Treffen, and over the years have shared stages with She Past Away, The Underground Youth, Whispering Sons, and Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys. Their live shows have taken them across Austria, Germany, and Hungary, and they are now preparing to bring their dark, immersive sound to new audiences across Europe.
Cold Venus Revisited perceives music as an escape from a dystopian reality, creating a sound characterized by existential lyrics and melancholic noise.
